I remember those days well, spooks crawling all over the place buying gossip and trying to pass it off as Intelligence, everybody trying to concoct the ultimate secret plan to get rid of the commie insurgents. Turned out, of course, that all they had to do to break the insurgents was to get rid of Marcos, Ver, & Co. - which any halfway educated observer could have told them from the beginning.
This board reminds me of that, in a way, all this wink-wink lololol I-gotta-secret stuff, when the fundamentals - or lack thereof - are perfectly clear.
Anyway, you and Spider say a short squeeze will double the stock within a month, Janice and Co. say otherwise, which means that in 30 days we'll know who around here is full of shit. Not much point in speculating further; I'll just watch.
Subic is a fun place to visit. That's one of the places I enjoyed the most....especially at night.
Yes, the place was jumping back then, but that's the single biggest reason why the Filipinos bounced the Navy out of their favorite piece of Asian real estate. Wonder if the Navy ever thought about how conservative family-values type Filipinos would feel about our turning Olongapo into Asia's biggest whorehouse. Guess they have plenty of time to think about it now.
It's all very sedate now. Maybe I'm getting old, but I like it better that way.
