Elmer - Re: "Jerry lied about having working silicon."

No - Cherry Sanders was at his Clintonesque best.

He said the Sharpy was RUNNING in the lab.

He didn't say it was working.

For example, it might dissipate power if it was clocked - even though no data came out - this would still be "running" !

Re: "2. It is taking AMD 1 full year between first functional silicon and a manufacturable product when all that is being added is a SRAM array and an L2 cache controller. ( This is a given under any circumstances)."

This is the truth - and it should scare the h*ll out of AMD investors.

Do you remember when AMD announced the "K5 would be delayed for additional testing" back in APril/May of 1995?

I wouldn't be surprised if AMD delayed the K7 for "additional testing" since it has to be more complex than the Sharpy Chip.
