Globe says intriguing drill results keep stock active

Argentina Gold Corp ARP
Shares issued 33,113,389 Nov 4 close $3.11
Thu 5 Nov 98 In the News
The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998 edition that
Argentina Gold's stock continues to report intriguing drilling results on
its Amable property in Argentina, but some analysts think the recent market
reaction has been overdone. The Globe's Allan Robinson writes that
Argentina Gold, which has been reporting the results on a hole-by-hole
basis, said yesterday that hole 85 has 155 metres of rock containing 2.2
grams of gold and 80 grams of silver. Those results caused Argentina Gold's
shares to cool slightly yesterday. The stock retreated 4 cents to $3.11 on
the VSE, putting a value on the company of $103-million. A Research Capital
analyst said Argentina Gold does not come near justifying its current
market capitalization. Another analyst said that the geological structure
being drilled is too small to contain enough gold-bearing ore to justify
recent trading prices.
