This is very much in keeping in line with their longer term strategy of selling off as much as they can of non-telecom businesses, and having the US telecom division set the strategy and become the driving force for the company - Raghu's appointment is a clear indicator of this (Raghu is/was the US Telecom Division's COO). And we can expect them to go on a huge buying binge as soon as they can either raise adequate cash or raise their stock price. we did see it start with the DIGI acquisition, but those efforts have sputtered since for obvious reasons. However, I won't be surprised if we see them start again soon - mainly coz. if they don't, they won't survive. Frankly, I also wouldn't be surprised if they acquire the likes of MOT or ERICY - or maybe even Ascend before LU does.
