Advanced Health Announces Web Browser Dr. Chart Agreements
TARRYTOWN, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 5, 1998--Advanced Health Corporation (Nasdaq: ADVH), through its subsidiary Advanced Health Technologies (AHT), announced today additional agreements for its Web Browser Dr. Chart(TM) product.
The three agreements are with NorDx Laboratories, the core laboratory of Maine Health in Portland, Maine; Laboratory Alliance of Central New York, the core laboratory for St. Joseph's, Community General and Krouse Hospitals in the greater Syracuse area; and Metropolitan Hospital, a 238-bed osteopathic hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan, which initially will purchase the traditional Dr. Chart(TM) software and then upgrade to the Web Browser version in 1999. All will be utilizing Dr. Chart(TM) to expand their respective outreach programs to physicians using their clinical services. The Dr. Chart(TM) product links physicians with hospital-based clinical systems such as laboratory, radiology and pathology systems. The Web Browser Dr. Chart(TM) provides the benefits of a Web application within a secure intranet.
"We view the agreements as an exciting opportunity to expand these laboratories' physician outreach programs," said Rob Alger, president of AHT. "We are confident our Web-based Dr. Chart(TM) product will enable these labs to build upon already successful outreach programs with their growing base of physician customers."
David Kendall, Chief Information Officer of NorDx Laboratories, stated, "After a very thorough search of all commercially available physician connectivity solutions, we chose Advanced Health's Web-based version of Dr. Chart(TM) because we firmly believe it is the best product of its type out in the marketplace."
