Mike:

I am looking for ways to improve my yields while preserving capital (isnt everybody) For purposes of this discussion, lets say I have 100K and it is currently in short term government funds. Earning a whopping 4.5% I would like to annualize a 10% or so return. What are some recommendations of types of (not necessary to provide specific examples unless you have one) strategies you would employ.
Example: buying selective calls/puts or spreads ? particular dividend paying stocks (such as USU)

Micron appears to be ripe for a good spread at this point. Although who would have thought it would get to 45 again.

thanks
