[MARVEL MASTERWORKS Survey]

Hi, fellow fans of the Silver Age of Comics!

I've put together a petition/survey designed to show Marvel that there's strong demand for NEW volumes of the Marvel Masterworks hardcover series.

For those new to Masterworks, these hardcover books reprint classic stories from the Silver Age of Comics: Fantastic Four, Thor, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, X-Men, Dr. Strange, The Hulk, Daredevil, and more. Each book contains 10 or more consecutive issues, in full color. Marvel published 27 volumes in the series from 1987 to 1993 before pulling the plug. In the last year interest in these books has roared back; Marvel Masterworks now fetch a high price among collectors. DC is currently enjoying great success with its DC Archives series, inspired by the Masterworks editions.

The time is right for Marvel to pick up where it left off and resume the publication of NEW Masterworks.

The survey is at greenlake.com and takes only a minute to complete... Over *250* people already have. (Thanks!)

In addition to more volumes for the titles listed above, I've added volumes covering Marvel's other key 60's characters, including Nick Fury, Ant-Man/Giant Man, Human Torch solo stories, Sub-Mariner, Sgt. Fury, and more. Classics from Kirby, Ditko, Steranko, Romita, Barry Smith, Neal Adams, and many others; essentially the entire Marvel 1960's super-hero canon, complete in full-color hardcover editions.

The survey also asks which currently out-of-print Masterworks should be brought back. Space is provided for "write-ins" and general comments.

Let Marvel know what you want them to publish!

Some time mid-month I'll sum everything up and publish the results on the Internet as well as to each respondent. All individual data remains confidential and won't be used for any purpose other than this survey.

Thanks for your support,
Mark
