News of Siemens: From Bus. Section in local paper:

Siemens said the following moves will significantly boost profits:

1. Withdrawing from the components business. The unit has sales of
6.6 billion and 47000 workers. In includes semiconductors, electron tubes and electromechanical components.

2. Shedding its copper communications cable divison.

3. Possibly spinning off its electron tubes business and its retail banking systems.

4. Repurchasing its shares.

5. Restructuring stock-option plans.

6. (my idea). Making FNTN their showcase intranet provider, with expected revenue in the billions. ;-)
