Gary, you dont seem to have a sense of humor what so ever! Cool
down, relax and enjoy the life a bit! My comments to JimA was
mostly for fun with someone whom I could not reason with! Lets
hope you are different. So here is my 2 cents and you can
ignore it if you dont like to welcome my comments!

Anyway, as for Sun, I have been investing in this company a little
over 2 years now and have been adding to my shares on major
dips such as what we are having now. As for the stock price
analysis if the pattern proves to be correct this timealso I expect the
price to go down at most for another 5%-6% or so from what it is
now and will see a bounce back BIG time very shortly either a
couple of days prior to the earnings report or after the report. But
of course nothing is for sure. Wether the price goes up in the next
month or so is absolutely irrelavant to the company's prospects.

As for the company I know it inside and out and I can guarantee
you with confidence (without being fanatic about the company) that
it is solid with perhaps the most innovative people working for it.
Sun used to be considered a hardware only company but with
Java (and NO JAVA as some may claim IS NOT just another
programming language like C++) it is in a great position to set a new
standard in the software industry thus positioning itself to compete
strongly against Microsoft/Intel partnership. JavaBeans is a
technological breakthrough that makes it possible for componization
to take place in software. Just like how you go about buying the
DRAM from Micron, The pentium from Intel and the monitor from
Magnovox and then put them togethert to build a PC, JavaBeans
makes it possible to buy third party software objects and hook them
up together (regardless of who wrote them) and run them either as
desktop only application or web applications. Microsoft has also
introduced a similar capability via its ActiveX technology. But
ActiveX only works under Windows (therefore makes it a proprietory
product) while JavaBeans not only integrates with ActiveX but
with other component model technologies such as OpenDoc, etc.
With JavaBeans I think there would be a good potentials for NC's
to become very popular for ordinary people who dont really need
a PC (and there are a lot of them out there) not mentioning the
corporations and their Intranet applications. So in short dont look at
Sun as just another company that sells servers and workstations.
That is still the bread and butter of the company but beginning the
second half of 1997 you can see the effects of JavaBeans and
NC's to boost to this great company's earnings BIG TIME. That is
why I am sayinng anywhere between $20-$30 the stock is
dirt cheap with what it can produce in 6 months or so. Right now
everyone is looking at 'possible' lower profit margins in Sun's
workstation sector and most investors who know Jack Sh* about
the technology are scared and are selling. My advise to you
my friend is as I always say: Take advantage of market's fear in order
to gain from its greed later!
