On the lighter side: Lesbians Protest China's Use of Dikes to Stop Flooding SAN FRANCISCO - A large group of Lesbians "flooded" the streets around Chinatown today, to protest China's use of dikes to the control the rising water that is threatening their nation. Said Nina Licatoe, spokesman/woman for the lesbians, "The idea that dikes can stop floods is barbaric! Being a lesbian doesn't make you an expert on how to control rising-water. Why is it that when a woman "comes out of the closet" she is given a raincoat and sent to the river to make sure it doesn't crest its banks? This is a backwards and outdated sterotype and it's time for the world to change their thinking about dikes and floods."
