Hello Wahoograd..

All these incumbent technologies for VOD still look rather "Mickey Mouse." They're networked based and don't offer the convenience and cost effectiveness of a client side solution. They're dearth on pricing models, microtransactions, metering, security, providing for consumer account balances and transaction log information, readers for smart cards, content enabling provisions for everyone (not just "Mickey"). The list of lacking and unintegrated desktop consumer satisfaction goes on and on.... Remember those 12 foot satellite dishes and the dirt bags who sold them? That's what IBM and Intel are offering right now as e-commerce solution software and back-end "support." They all want to sell us something. Their focus is limited upon technologies enhancing their revenues and competing for them with their clumsy networks rather than apportioning revenues with partners and shifting control to consumers.

I want a lot more than the poor excuse for entertainment and information the traditional broadcast media has hitherto offered.
I shot my TV 25 Years ago. The idiots people refer to as Celebrity intellects and Movie Stars look like so many bad clowns in a bad circus to me. Just look at what we get for "progamming." They vomit their bile and call it the "news!" Some of us actually want a new world of communications that enables us to "entertain ourselves" using the potential of our own minds... rather than just sit and shit like wide-eyed, human vegetables waiting on the next "feed" from Hollyweird to be "moved" by.

I'm venting, I know..
