Greeting Sam: The one thing I have always seen where a company say in Japan has it over us here. Is when a company cuts back and possible unemployment could be a result. Instead of the government dolling out moneys in unemployment insurance they supported the company with that money and allowed the company to produce using government sponsored employees.
Sure there are dumping rules that are supposed to protect us in such a situation but with Asia in such a whole. I don't expect this bunch in Washington to give a damn. Japan's banks are from what I've read in some cases almost insolvent and with us stuck in this so called 'world economy'. I wouldn't count out prices still under pressure from cheap overseas drives too soon.
Now I guess I could comment on our banks loaning the Asia banks money to bolster there ailing companies so they can in turn sell product to you and I. But then we'll have to get into the Fed not lowering rates mid month here, because they need our money to off set U.S banks cheap loans to foreign countries. Put Asia on your credit card so to speak.
I just tell myself it's for the good of the hive.
