I am still here because:

The few bucks I can get for walking away now are not going to change my life very much--so I might as well stick around for the final chapter.

I went into this thing knowing full well it was either huge or zero.
Right now the "zero" looks like a more logical conclusion.

But hope burns eternal!!!
