Hyde knew enough to say this a day after the election. Had he said it a day before the election, the Republicans would have lost twice as bad as they did. If Hyde would have run this time, he would have joined D'Mato in defeat and he will be defeated next time.

It is clear that the American people by about a 70% margin don't want the impeachment process to continue. It is obvious now that the Republican leadership has a partisan agenda of its own, regardless of the vote of the people. They can't get elected the legitimate way so they try to overturn the elections with dirty tactics and unfair purely political strategies.

Voters are not as dumb as you wrote in your post 12910 ("... If they do it quickly, the electorate being as dumb as it apparently is will forget the whole thing by the time the next election rolls around. JLA"). We will remember it clearly and get rid of the rest of the guys who forgot who elected them. These officials can march out of step with the electorate only so long.

The holier and smarter than thou position of yours would work better in the Kremlin. Not here.

Too bad you didn't have the minimal amount of class to lose gracefully.
