>>In my cosmology, souls choose the form of their corporeal reincarnation....
And there is the coincidence of incarnations. Just as she chose you as her parents, I believe you chose her as your child in the intersection of your desires.<<
Rick, I was not going to reply to your comments, except to say that it appears that you find yourself able to believe whatever notions make you feel all warm and comfy about things.
My husband read your post, though, and I will convey his response:
Let me get this straight. Whoever the CEO of your "cosmology" is wills it that there should be on earth suffering consciousnesses, beings in deep confusion, in torment, moaning, deaf and blind, some of them; tearing at their flesh with their own nails, some of them (so that their arms must be tied to the arms of their wheelchairs)-- because they have "chosen" this penitentiary life. And their parents, astonished at the difficult fate presented to their children, and to them through their children, have also "chosen" their suffering.
And by implication, the well made, the strong, the happy, the fortunate, have loved God so much in their past lives, that they may enjoy the fruits of the earth!-- and know that those who are suffering have nothing to complain about.
How astonishing that you would express this shameful construct of yours.
So overmastering is your desire to affirm the existence of an omnipotent yet (against the evidence) benign God that you are willing to deny the evidence of your senses when simple, utter, pointless and random human suffering confronts you. |
