I played "it is getting added to the index. Funds will have to buy" with PSFT a few weeks back and lost big. Now there is news that SWY is getting added to the S&P 500 after market close on Nov 12th. Is it worth a play or not? Funny coincidences. I shop Safeway. Bank Wells Fargo. You will find a Wells Fargo branch or ATM in every Safeway. The biggest allocation in my 401(K) is the Wells Fargo S&P 500 fund (WFSPX) and now Safeway is being added to the S&P 500.
