bullrider,
I am not a TA person myself. GERN is an old and generous friend that I have kept on screens. Look at the chart. It is a stock that reacts very well to info. The info doesn't change the fundamentals but the PR is worded to increase 'optimism'. This will be the fourth time I have hit this stock. I merely go long for the mindless gains and then flip as the realism of 'many years out' becomes apparent. Historically, I would expect a gap above 12 possibly above 14. Depending on that gap, I will sell and then short somewhere in the first 30 seconds to 30 minutes. Science is wonderful but the market needs something a little more concrete. I mention the chart only for the reason that the spikes and downward drift are easily noted.

Edit - I would suggest a visit to the yahoo boards for the type of thinking that makes this a valid play. Enthusiasm I reckon.
