Katherine, my premise is that market share changes and you have to look at who is improving their performance and whos performance is degrading. At this moment, MASK is moving in the right direction while DPMI and PLAB seem to be having problems. Is this a bit simplistic? Yes, but stock investing is partly driven by which companies are on the upswing. Putting money into stocks of companies simply because they have a large market share is, in my opinion, a losing stategy. GM may be the classic example. The semiconductor business changes fast. I know, I used to be a process engineer for Intel. Customers are not interested in market share, they want companies to deliver performance. At the moment MASK seems to be doing the best job. Sure this can change, and when it does I would sell MASK and buy the best company in the group. Right now MASK is the best company in the group, in my opinion.
