DEK Printing Machines, Ltd. Selects ESI Vision
PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Electro Scientific Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: ESIO - news) announced the signing of a multi-year OEM agreement with DEK Printing Machines, Ltd. Under the agreement, ESI will supply vision technology for DEK's model 248 and 260 screen printers.
''ESI was selected because of their unique combination of electronics industry expertise and machine vision technology,'' said John Yerger, Director of Operations for DEK. ''ESI's hardware-independent vision solution will allow us to reduce cost and improve performance, helping DEK to maintain its position as the highest value screen printers available in the market.''
ESI will supply a set of screen printer-specific software modules designed to take full advantage of the increasing power of a standard PC. The technology provides DEK a platform for future upgrades as new features and improved performance modules are released.
