My, my, Dwight. Another calm, rational post there. You're the voice of reason, and I'm like the Unibomber or Timothy McVeigh. You left out Jeffrey Dahmer. Do you think Bob might like to hear about this little bit of guilt by association? Or maybe Mr. Pilch's interesting formulation about the "leftist ad hominem", which rightists unfortunately have to use on idiots who disagree with them? And no, that's not a threat, strictly a rhetorical statement.
I was a bit cheery in victory, for a while. Then the flood of denial posts started here, about how the election didn't mean anything at all, and it started looking like the usual substantial and objective stream of Clinton hatred was starting up again. I don't know how it will play out, and I really don't feel much like hanging around here anymore. You got your one stupid radio commercial from St. Louis, but the Republicans went national with a late-inning impeachment appeal. Didn't play out too well for them.
As to the "right wing hater" thing, as with the "partisan hater" label I've been tagged with, I'd advise you to look into your own heart first, Dwight. I read plenty of right wing hatred here, some focused on Bill Clinton, some on "liberals" in general, and some quite personally focused on other participants in this forum. Of the personally focused variant, a number of authors seem much better at dishing it out than at taking it. I don't particularly like dishing it out, but I don't like taking it either. And I've taken a lot. |
