1) Many users who overclocked the CeleronA 300 to 450 had to increase the Vcc from 2.0V to 2.1V and even to 2.2V. Does this mean POWER dissipation goes WAY UP? Which means CHIP temperatures go way up. Which means reliability goes WAY DOWN? If so then CeleronA sucks.

2) CeleronA and PII dissipate more wattage/MHz than K6-2. Go read your Microprocessor Report.

3) Do you read spec? Do you understand spec? If you run above the spec then POWER dissipation goes WAY UP. Which means CHIP temperatures go way up. Which means reliability goes WAY DOWN. K6-2 upper Vcc spec
is 2.5V. 2.3V is 0.2V below spec.

AMD did jack up the Vcc on K6-233 from 2.9V to 3.2V and sold a bunch.
If AMD do the same with the K6-2-400 to get to 500MHz they will make
a killing. Are you nervous yet? Watch for it to happen sooner than
you think. AMD will thank Paul Engel of Intel for such a "brilliant idea" of getting more MHz out of their process.
