To anyone:

I must confess I still don't understand how shorting on a massive scale is feasible re GPGI. Any shares sold by a shorter to a US purchaser would be into a cash account since the shares are not marginable, therefore would require delivery of actual shares, which could not be borrowed from other cash accounts.

I can visualize how a Canadian broker might be selling an unlimited number of GPGI "IOU's" to someone with a street account in Canada, but all buying by US investors must be settled in actual shares, thereby limiting the supply, no?

Richard's hypothesis that GPGI could be selling on the open market to raise cash for operations also sounds reasonable.

Any enlightenment will be appreciated.

Randall
