If you were a CEO of a company and some other companies used your technologies to improve the performance of their products without giving you any credit for that, how would you react? Ed Bramson is a shrewd CEO, so he would not let IBM implement KM without any proper acknowledgement. History of Ampex is a history of bad publicity and positive press releases about Ampex from a major company would go a long way in polishing Ampex's image . I think if IBM had incorporated KM, Ed Bramson would have fought very hard for Ampex's name to be incorporated in the IBM's press release. Anyway, Ampex is not a one product company and its has a lot of tricks in its hat to entertain those who are long in Ampex.
