The only companies NOT happy with the rising popularity of caching are the Qwest's of the world. Why?--because it blows up their semi-log plots of exponential bandwidth requirement over the longhaul. As you cache at the edge, less traffic needs to go over the longhaul.

As I said in this folder many months ago--caching is going to be very popular in Europe and Asia as the ISP population explodes, because the longhaul provisioning is MUCH more expensive. Caching is a GREAT alternative for those ISP's.
