Louis, a reverse split is where a company gives fewer (more expensive) shares for each share outstanding. Instead of splitting for example 2:1 (2 new for one old) a reverse split might be 1:2 (1 new for 2 old). Shouldn't affect value of your investment and I think they would only do it as an interim step before issuing the new individual company shares.

As far as hdtv, the only one I own is Zenith which is way down (I am carrying a loss in it) but it had a good move today. It's partly owned by a Korean Conglomerate. Check the SI thread. No bets on it though, as it has been losing money.
