OT 'denial of service' attack We were hit with such an attack a couple of weeks ago. It was kind of clever although I don't understand exactly how it was done. Someone sent in a mail message to a legitimate e-mail address but they somehow had a mailing list for the whole company appended in the auto-reply feature. Everytime someone read the message it would send another copy to the whole mailing list. It didn't take long for the mail system to get clogged up. I think IT had to write some quick filters to discard messages with the matching content. TP
