PR Newswire - November 05, 1998 11:36
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- The following is being issued by BancBoston Robertson Stephens, a member of the National Association of Securities Dealers, CRD number 41271:
BancBoston Robertson Stephens senior Electronic Manufacturing Products and Services analyst J. Keith Dunne initiated coverage today of DII Group (DII) (Nasdaq: DIIG) with a Buy rating. DII Group, based in Niwot CO, mostly designs, engineers and fabricates printed wiring boards (PWB) and provides comprehensive electronic manufacturing services (EMS) through a global network of operations in North America Europe and Southeast Asia.
"We believe PWB demand is improving and suppliers are consolidating," said Dunne. "Following the recent acquisition of Greatsino in China and HP's German PWB operation, DII is one of the top 15 printed wiring board suppliers in the world with production facilities in the US, Europe and the Far East."
Over the past 18 months DII has made 5 acquisitions adding nearly $200 million to revenues. With a greater focus on its core PWB and EMS capabilities, Dunne believes DII is attractively priced and has established a $25 price objective over the next 12 months.
