Home builders out here are offering Ethernet wiring to all rooms as either standard or as a $200 option.

I love the idea of plug-n-play. But, anyone building an office without Cat-5 100BaseT compatible cable deserves to pay $300 per wireless port. Cat-5 wiring is a no-brainer.


I agree. There are so many places where wireless is far better, if not the only option. But in the office LAN environment, it is a distant second.
