L. John Doerr bought 59,000 shares on July 24, 1998. He is on the board of AMZN, so he is an insider. biz.yahoo.com It is somewhat confusing because he is also listed as selling over 1 million shares. However, if you read the footnotes to the sales, those are just shares held by KPCB clients in his name. KPCB cannot prevent their clients from taking profits in this controversial company. The actual purchase has no footnote. There are no sales soley in Doerr's name. Best Regards, Tom
