Jeff, why feel torn about your contribution to the thread? Obviously it is appreciated by the group. You have absolutely nothing to feel bad about.
IMHO, you do deserve a pat yourself on the back, as I indicated to you privately this morning. You spent some time and effort doing close TA as well as your FA, knowing that THQI has a history of incredible jumps and swoons. That's work, and I am glad it paid off for you.
Not sure what you mean by "while friends have to absorb cheap shots from left field," so I won't comment on that.
As obvious as it may sound, we all need to remember that "Mr. Market," as James Grant among others have called "him," is not a person out to cheat us, as apt as that anthropomorphism might seem sometimes. It's simply a crude aggregation of market participants' dollar-weighted judgements about what the shares in a particular company are "worth" at a particular moment in time. Sometimes those judgements are more sporadic and ill-informed than others. Sometimes they are dominated by those who seek quick returns, sometimes not. In the case of many small caps, like THQI, they vary widely and rapidly. IMHO, in this context qualities like "fairness, honesty, and accuracy" should apply to things like:
-Do the MMs and your broker follow exchange rules? -Does the company do its level best to disseminate information in such a fashion that we're all able to avail ourselves of the same facts at the same time? -Does the company do all it can to characterize its position accurately, rather than deflate its market cap before insider buys and inflate that cap before insider sells?
I trust BF and THQI to hold up their end of this bargain--that's a major reason why I'm a THQI investor.
Enough rambling on this--I doubt many of you find it interesting, and I don't know if it helps you address your concerns, Jeff.
Bottom line: you "respect other members of the thread" when you honestly characterize your thinking with a mind to helping us with our own thinking. I have not one iota of doubt that you sincerely try to do this. Hence I feel respected by your posts.
Here's to hoping you'll continue to respect us.
And congratulations to you once again, whether you want 'em or not! :o)
Regards,
