I've been wondering about this possibility, too, in light of the quote
of Kevin Keim of Quintiles from the recent NTII press release:
"... we have many years experience with pivotal trials in this
therapeutic area."

I'm not well-informed about this, but I thought that "pivotal trials"
usually refers to trials that immediately precede going to the FDA
for approval. They don't say that this is a pivotal trial, but
are they giving us a hint?
