Chris,

Mount Soledad is right on the coast in La Jolla. It goes from sea level to 822 feet in elevation. Deep canyons surround the area. There are many broadcast towers on the mountain since it is one of the highest points in San Diego proper. There are many points much higher throughout the county of San Diego.

The freeway goes right past and below Mt. Soledad. It may be interesting to know if the problem occurred on the mountain or on the freeway or area below.
