Time for this lurker to come out of the great northwet woods. Tim- you created a great thread, a virtual but full-time job. I surfed through your stuff here months ago then saw the wsj piece and said "this bloke's doing it". I have been trying to justify taking my trading full-time after 4 years of decent returns and the normal mistakes. You people (Tim, Glen, Barbara and many others)who post quality stuff here regularly, have helped me enormously, and I'm sure many other members and lurkers to.
I have stumbled through the All-tech tours, cybertrade demos, brokers, pump-dump letters/people and DD links and now feel out of the loop if I don't read this thread. I chatted with Russ H. the ceo of go2net last june in Seattle, and this thread is making his vision comments much clearer. This is a great site with the right firm and a great thread with good people, posts and info.
Tim-why can't the maintenance posts (Asia market reports, index updates...whatever) be done by some of the other thread members now. I'd be glad to help and sure others would take what they could? Just a suggestion from a newby, but I don't believe tenure is a requirement for initiative.
Ok, forget gern, there will be plenty of others, you guys all know that. Everyone is on their own when they click that mouse button to trade.
Anyone get in on safeway? Replacing Chrysler on S&P apparently drove it, can someone explain why? Can anyone suggest level 2 sources? Sorry for the long post, but...hope to give back to this thread soon. thanks again Tim and all you other regulars. Mazama |
