The US$ is really tracking the "bearish" rising pennant that the forex traders have been alluding to. Should that technical indicator bear fruit, look for the dollar to drop[ significantly by the end of next week. Given that Newt has bailed, one of two things may happen...a clone takes over or a real reformer(like Largent) jumps onboard. If that happens, I believe the spin for the DOW will be southward, as in down-do-be-do, down down.

OTH, if the US$ breaks above the pennant then look for DOW 9500 and let the good times roll on towards an even bigger crash.
