"Well," replied Norma, "In all that commotion I managed to pick up a signed contract. All we have to do is fill in our names and the deal is ours!!."

"Ours," thought Muffy. "No way, that deal is mine."

Reaching down, Muffy grabbed the contract out of Norma's hands and quickly activated the release, sending the buddy seat spiraling across the roadway.

"Goodbye, Norma Jean," yelled Muffy as she sped away, grateful to have finally gotten rid of the pesky Norma. "I never did like bleached blondes," Muffy thought with satisfaction.

Soon, Muffy began to worry about the fact that she was in possession of a stolen vehicle, and a police vehicle at that. "This could be a problem," mused Muffy, "That is, if they catch me!"

"Not bad," she thought. "In fact, he's downright adorable. This could be fun!"

The two introduced themselves and Muffy learned that her new friend's name was Dan.

Dan revved up the Jag and made a bee-line out of the parking lot.

By then Muffy had forgotten all about the contract. (She did have a short attention span, after all.) Somewhere along the way the pages, and her future fortunes, were jettisoned out of the open vehicle.

"How about a trip to Carmel," asked Dan as they glided down the highway.

"I was thinking of something more like Las Vegas," said Muffy. "I understand that there are a lot of interesting people who will be there in November and I need to make some money fast."

"Vegas it is," replied Dan as he turned the Jag in the proper direction. "However, I really do think that you would make more money investing in AOL calls."

Suddenly, flashing red lights appeared in the rearview mirror and a siren began to blare......
