Spots and Richard, I do shut down in an orderly manner each night. I only have Win95 and even if I reset the clock in Win95, it shows incorrect time (several hours) later without a shutdown in between. Glad I'm not the only one with this problem. Maybe we've all been Microsofted? Will try commenting out the statement in autoexec.bat this weekend. (I only fool with those things when there is plenty of time to recover from any mistakes <G>) Gottfried
