Uh oh, Z, as a pretty good cook, I beg to differ. Of course there's American cuisine. Like American English, it's influenced by many cultures, but the introduction of American ingredients and combinations make it ours, ours, ours.

English ????

You know, English Food is on the list of the 50 most notable oxymorons...

Therefore, if that is the base you are parting from.....

Then again, I will grant you the wines, and only because it is you that are pleading the case, therefore, I will "look the other way" and will agree that wine qualifies.....

Now, remember I was not talking about "cooks", I was talking about "food"...

Your contention that American "food" is influenced by "others" is true, except somewhere in the "influencing" something gets lost, and the result is well.....

For example, if you think that "Mexican" restaurants here in the US, prepare "food"..... You are sadly mistaken. It resembles, more like "dog food"....

Most amazingly is the fact that they are immensely popular..... puzzling, isn't it ?

However, there is hope, evolution always correct these mishaps, eventually the blend will evolve into real cuisine.....

....Maybe by the year 2500 or so.....<g>
