I understand your concerns about KCAP and my Internet wisdom. My thoughts concerning every stock, much like most, is buyer always beware. He who invests on impulse and not investigation will always lose. The reason for my interest KCAP as follows:
- The daily volume traded is much higher than your typical OTC stock.
- The amount of I.R. and P.R. being produced by the company displays their eagerness to increase the market price of the stock.
- The management or directors of KCAP, from my research, have been in the stock arena for years. Having contacts in the right places always makes a difference, trust me! Word has it that Barry Evans, one of Key Capitals' Board Members, is good friends with Ross Perot.
- Yes, anyone or any company could duplicate their efforts and idea, but having a head start has its advantages. A major corporation wanting to duplicate the idea may simply decide to buyout the company, which could pay-off big for KCAP shareholders.
- Although the volume of stock is above average for your typical OTC, the stock owned by insiders seems to be tightly held and restricted; thus, a plan to increase the stocks value through an increase in company revenues should be the main order of business for these insiders. A short term hype will not benefit the insiders; therefore, I strongly believe their goals are long term.
- Another common practice for smaller companies is to elevate the stock price before openly selling new shares to individuals or institutions. I'm betting that KCAP will issue new shares to some big players if the stock was to reach a price between $7 - $8. If this was to occur, these big players would make good and legal efforts to keep the stock from dipping below their original purchase price by buying up loose shares. The exclusive buying group that I'm a member of, which has a group net worth of nearly a billion dollars, has been known to step in and work directly with companies that have great ideas but limited financial backing.
- Finally, yes KCAP has a somewhat empty box that they have painted pretty pictures on, but it seems apparent that the company is making efforts now to fill the box.
Please understand that I have only purchased a limited number of shares of KCAP stock, and the effects that a price increase or decrease will have on my net worth would be nil. Sixty percent of my investments would only be affect by a catastrophic event, such as nuclear war. Why then am I interest in this stock? Throughout my professional career, I've helped teens and young adults through some tough times. The majority of these troubled individuals was their association with losers. Once separated from the losers, positive changes in their lives immediately began to occur.
If writing rebuttals to ill advised postings helps individuals realize that some persons found on this site could be equated to your typical gang leader or drug pusher that uses immoral and illegal methods for their own person gain, then so be it. Although I believe that KCAP will prevail, the postings about the company are not my main objective. Losers use others to collect their gains, but from my experience, these individuals typical end up six feet under, or in a jail cell.
All I'm trying to say is - use your best judgement. If you don't like a stock, then don't buy it. If you feel that you have an honest and truthful opinion about a stock, then express it - but do it professionally. I've found that more respect comes to those who the greatest integrity and communication skills, and the association with this class of individual is always more beneficial and safer.
