To mmeggs: Enjoy the scotch. Note the Gregg uses .66 per share. And 4 times .66 equals $2.64 which is within the range that Gregg mentions as the estimate for FY 99 of $2.50 to $2.70. Maybe my simplistic "rule of thumb" of $2.64 was of some use as a quick ballpark estimate for FY99 - for immediate working purposes only. :-) I threw it in BTW to give a down to earth guess amid all the nonsense the analysts and other much more sophisticated [sic.] people were spouting immediately following earnings. Gregg, as he always does, gives a well reasoned, careful explanation of the range he suggests is Q's management's current druthers and why it is a practical working base at this time. (I for one will now use the $2.50 to $2.70 range as a conservative base while expecting the actual result to be higher - probably much higher) As always I much appreciate his knowledge, analysis and willingness to share. 'Nuf. Chaz PS Since MSFT is Wall Street's darling, the Q may now find itself "respectable" (choke) and at long last receive some slight benefit at the margin. I expect that BTW. Will be fun to see the gradual shift out of the wilderness into the mainstream - if that happens - as I expect. Since you seem to be "in the business" curious if you think the joint venture will add some polish to the Q on the street. Plan to watch with interest.
