Tim: If you don't have conflicts, you wouldn't have to remove it from the taskbar. I suppose the advantage to having it there is that it's always ready to serve, like Jeeves. Sometimes I forget to open QPV while running scans. Jeeves would have been there -- he always is when "situations fraught with embarrassing potentialities arise," as Wodehouse puts it. And the QPV daemon would have been there, too.
