(Soros' 13D) I have looked at the 13D filed by the Soros group. I didn't see any surprises there. It is an amendment to the one filed in October. There is no significant increase in shares that I can see. They were going to get up to $15,000,000 worth, $10,000,000 in the first round and $5,000,000 in the second round -- and they got their shares at a 15% discount. In exchange Amati got $15,000,000 in working capital. Amati also borrowed about $3,000,000 from Soros. And the 300,000 warrants allow for purchases at $17.45 until Dec 17, 2001. What a deal, cause shares could be worth a lot more than $17.45 by 2001. Imagine the posibilities. Looks like the main purpose of this 13D was to modify some of the various fund voting amounts and bring the document up-to-date. John
