Hello John:

There entered a theology here this past week that is characterized and epitomized by the following .

""As we travel westward in the footsteps of the path that Jesus the Son, has taken before us, we learn to accept and integrate these aspects of our being, as Jesus taught, and in so doing, we restore our original perfection, our wholeness, our Unity.

Jesus did not do what he did for us to stand transfixed in awe. He did what he did to show us the way, so that he would be but the first of many. He died not to 'give' us salvation, but to show us how to save ourselves through a new understanding, a new way of seeing.""

I could write a book on these few statements but I just want to take a few moments to rebuff the pernicious intent of these seemingly innocent statements.

First. "We learn" "We restore our original perfection". I do think we learn anything. We are taught. We are powerless to restore ourselves to any kind of perfection. What is good within us is good . What is evil within us is evil. The problem never has been the good. The problem has always been the evil. You take the worst criminal. He has friends and family that think they are so called a good guy. To assume for a second that we are somehow capable of restoring ourselves or cleansing ourselves of sin is ridiculous.

Second. "We travel westward in the footsteps of the path that Jesus the Son has taken before us ". The implication is that after this journey we are going to be little Jesus's. Well, my answer is what do we do in the meantime. If the writer assumes it is a journey then we are sinning all along while we make this journey. The difference is that Christ never sinned. The implication is that Christ sinned just like we have. I have some news for the writer. We are not Jesus. Never will be . We might be "called" son's of God but we are not and never will be THE son of God.

Third. "He died not to give us salvation " This is a direct lie. Oh yes He did. We did not pay for it. We could not earn it. Yes it was a gift.

Fourth "But to show us how to save ourselves". John. How can we save ourselves. Another lie. Another lie.

Do all here understand why I had to do what I did this week.??? God forbid if I offended anyone????? This was a sneaky attack of the devil. The deceiver. Can everyone see now how innocently this all started out but how quickly the devil went right to the very core of our faith and belief.

Thank you John. Thank you every so much for you told me what was going to happen before it started. The BIBLE was our best friend this week. Oh how comforting it is to go to the Word of God and say NO NO NO it does not say that.

My sincere appreciation to all. We have all learned volumes this week. Praise be to God for His faithfulness, for the leading of the Holy Spirit....In Christ.gregor
