I am short KTEL, have been in and out of AOL several times just because the stock can have such high peaks and valleys (I am a fraternity brother of a guy who's dad founded AOL, so I also have some personal interest in it). Unfortunately I have never invested in Amazon even though I constantly order books from them. I have also bought many items over EBAY and love the site. I guess I should invest in things I know like Peter Lynch says. I think both AOL and Amazon will be good stocks for the next 3-5 years just because the internet continues to grow by leaps and bounds. Not even ZAKS con forecast who the power houses will be in the future with all the growth that is occuring. One day though these companies will have to stop trading off of expected earnings and start returning something to the bottom line. One of the few stocks I am aware of with an Internet presence that is really showing solid revenue growth both on the gross and net is MSPG. Only my lowly observations, hope my rambling makes sense.
