I don't know the story about the murder except what I have read here. I say to your inquiry that some do seek to know the devil and these the devil teaches his ways. And the result is what we have. Devil worshipping children killing others. It is not an isolated incident. It's terrible. But most folks when confronted with the reality of the existence of the devil would #1, run fast in the opposite direction, #2 draw the logical conclusion that if the devil exists then so must Jesus Christ (one can't be true without the other) and they would accept Jesus. Sort of scared straight.
You said we can only forsake god in us. There is no God in us until we are born again and accept Jesus Christ. What you are saying is a deception that keeps people from Jesus. If the answer is in us and only needs to be realized no need to be "born again" which is what you have been saying. You see the ploy, the devil offers a belief that keeps people from seeing the need for Jesus Christ. But it is false. By being anonymous he can manipulate facts, events, and even history and get away with it. That's his strategy and it works. But if he got behind the pulpit and said, I'm the devil, you don't need Jesus we would see the biggest revival ever. Do you see my point?

No one will see the kingdom of heaven except that they be "born again". There is no "god in us" that can save us without Jesus Christ. No one has Jesus Christ in them until they ask Him in and are "born again".
