Let's do it. We both can be the good guys.

The article is somewhat misleading in that it isn't an issue of solving Maxwell's equations. It's an engineering problem of how to organize E x B so that fermion em coupling is minimized, minimize friction losses in solid waveguides. This is related to the inverse law of heat loss and frequency. By taking advantage of that you get several great features, increased length of travel, increased throughput per unit time, and bi-directional. High density frequency packing and tight serialization which are the engineering target enable the added feature of bi-directionality with infinitesimal expectation of collision.

I've known for a long time that this wasn't overwhelmingly difficult to solve. Because of that, you can be sure it will be mimicked. The point is they've proven existence, failure of uniqueness will follow immediately. Applicability will also follow quickly due to the latter. The issue is the engineering, not the business technology aspect. When you have a break through, and you're the dinosaur, initially you could care less about how well it will sell.
