Re John Chambers comments on Thursday, I believe he said that
voice would be essentially free in a packet routing world.
IMO this means that the incremental number of voice packets
would be few in number when compared to the volume of data and video packets being routed over networks.

On Friday there was an interview with the chairman of Teleglobe and
he was asked about this and generally agreed. He added that circuit
switched POTS would still be used in developing countries but that
most developed countries would be sending traffic over packet routing
networks.
