Yogi,

I think the relationship with EMC is critical to SEG and believe it is healthy. Some time back I openly wondered if Al's departure would affect the relationship as he and Dick Egan are very close. I had the distinct pleasure of chatting in a small group with those two old warriors. They are a pair to draw to IMO.

Seagate's early commit to Fibre Channel and IBM's daliance with SSA may give Seagate and advantage here though I admit that is speculative. I do think that EMC recognizes that IBM is a major competitor and hope that weighs in favor of Seagate. I am more concerned about Fujitsu sneaking in frankly. In adition QNTM made an early commit to FC as well.

Lets face it, Cheetah, at the moment, is a shining star in a dark and stormy night at sea(gate). Sorry. <G>

Best,
Stitch
