Mike, thanks for the tech details of MMX modem functions. Is RJ11 the serial port? Been awhile since I've read about this stuff. Also what is a DAA? We also need a Codec, which I'm assuming may come with Win95? Oh and we need code to run the thing. So let me ask this: Since MMX can do the main modem functions (with a little help from a few friends), why is CPQ announcing today that their new MMX Presario's will come with modems? Something tells me that MMX will not be putting the modem makers out of business anytime soon. Plus, like you said; USR is not going to be blind-sided by this senario. Something also tells me that this MMX will not be doing 56Kbps down-loads.

Dwight
