Bob,
I hopefully did not indicate in any shape or form that people do not have to be reborn. Indeed they do. The distinction I am drawing here is whether this rebirth 'adds' to an empty soul, or simply activates the Christ within one who by calling upon him, activates it, and expels all that is not. The difference lies in whether all are damned and choose to be saved or damned, or all saved, and can choose to be saved or damned. If an unborn baby has the Grace of God, and shall be called unto him, can you tell me exactly when we lose it, unless we conciously choose damnation? Did not God say that those who do his works without knowing his words are blessed? I take nothing away from the concept of rebirth, it is an extremely important concept. The point I contend is that God is a God of love, and Unity, and not a God of fear and divisiveness.
Peace, Darrin
