Randy, software's already covered elsewhere. Software is, I believe, the second highest
selling product on internet, after books. So if amzn is not in it yet, and it's already a huge
seller on the net, I guess that means amzn already has plenty of established competition in
selling software, eh?

There is not an item in the works of which I know that is not covered well on the net. Software is literally all over the net as you stated. I do not know if there are more software vendors than book vendors. Some that come to mind are barnesandnoble, macconnection/pccconnection, macwharehouse/pcwharehouse, egghead etc. Videos...real.com, borders, walmart and many more.
